BDF Pneumatik is a system of body superstructures quick swap

In Europe, such devices have been developed by “Wihag”, “Jost”, “Schneider” companies and put on the market as early as in 80’s of last century and they are bearing the name “BDF” and the detachable superstructures for these systems are called as a “Swap Body”. The rapid transition to these systems introduction fell on the beginning of 2000-ies. Today the 60% of European vehicle fleets are operating on this principle. Even the expensive cars’ chassis have been produced and their air springs can lift the whole car at the required height and thus can detach the superstructure from the chassis.

In Europe, the popularity of trucks with BDF systems is such that some types of trucks with a stationary body are simply disappeared. And no wonder, because the body swap allows installing up to 30 (!) different superstructures on a one car/chassis.

In Russia, this system has never been used may be due to the fact that during the period of stagnation the equipment has been provided with practically for free in the form of various commodity credits, other subsidies and rash projects. Now it’s another time and the “freebee” equipment and due to negligence it became useless and the crisis forced all to think over how to perform all the assigned tasks of today's enterprises by a small number of vehicles and with the lack of funds for their purchase and maintenance.

To meet these challenges we have, together with German partners, worked out and produced the BDF-PNEUMATIK system which is designated to be installed both on import and domestic chassis with spring suspension such as KamAZ, MAZ, Ural, GAZ. This system by its air cushions, built in the over-frame, and its monitoring device and automatic equipment, makes it possible to lift the superstructure with a total weight up to 20 tons to a determined height and after the side retractable legs installation - to release thereby the superstructure from the car chassis. Furthermore, the superstructure remains in place. The whole process takes 5-7 minutes and without use of crane and other lifting mechanisms. Also with the help of pump up system it is possible to align the superstructure floor for the necessary level of discharge with the use of loading equipment. The superstructure attachment to the chassis is done by the by fitting locks according to the containers standard ISO-20´ and it allows to use the superstructures of all the world's foreign manufacturers, such as Koegel, Krone, Schmitz and others.

The scope of this project is very broad - transportation companies, agriculture, public utilities, building organizations, military forces and other structures.
